The last of the cedar eating spoons on the site is also one of the most captivating. It's not always clear when you're carving, but sometimes you end up making a form that resonates beautifully when the final cut is made. In this case, the shape of the bowl works perfectly with the handle and the transition at the stem is delicate and smooth, contrasting the punctuated flats that terminate the form at its lengths. Cedar is a softwood, so any sharp corners on the spoon will soften with age, but it should still be useful for years to come. It is finished with several coats of food safe oil. Wash normally, do not dishwash.
