Don't be deceived by the stark color change in this spoon's bowl. It is surely white oak, but the beauty of the wood here meant I could not apply any paint or serious decoration in good conscience. A simple round finial is left at the tip as a small but concentrated testimonial to the integrity of the wood. This spoon would be a beautiful addition to any kitchen, reminding you of the beauty of nature as you eat or serve items from the table. It is finished with several coats of food safe oil. Wash normally, do not dishwash.
