A minimalist box that brings enjoyment from a glance as well as thorough use. Only six pieces of wood are involved in its construction — the absolute minimum for a rectangular box — and while the joinery itself is deceptively simple, its exposure along the edges of the box draws the eye in to linger in the space between detail and overall form. The opening appears as a moment along the trajectory of these long faces, materializing in our presence before disappearing again at the edges of the piece. Pictured below in lacewood, but available in most domestic species and exotic options by special order. This box is best made in batches, so discounts can be negotiated if you choose to order multiples or combine your order with a friend.
